Canlis is a historic fine dining restaurant located in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle. Usually, it is a place you would go to for a fancy occasion such a birthday or anniversary. You’ll immediately be greeted with excellent customer service and only the highest quality of food. Unsurprisingly, Chad & Corynne’s wedding at Canlis was an incredibly classy one, filled with the warmth of their loved ones.

Chad & Corynne chose to rent out a nearby AirBNB which we used for getting ready photos. Overall, it was a very casual time where they could leisurely get ready together! We then headed to the front yard for their private vows and a gift exchange, which was the sweetest moment and probably my favorite part of their wedding day. Private vows are an amazing option if you are shy about saying personal vows at the wedding ceremony!

After photos at the AirBNB, I drove over to the venue before guests arrived to take some detail photos. I was absolutely in love with the reception table which featured greenery, taper candles, and elegant dishware to bring it all together. The ceremony took place in the Penthouse which features a full service bar, stunning views of the Cascade Mountains & Lake Union, and a baby grand piano.

Once guests arrived, the ceremony began. We then spent a good majority of cocktail hour taking some more formal couple portraits right outside the venue. There’s even a rooftop and a wine cellar which makes for some fun flash shots! After cocktail hour was the reception which featured the best wedding food I’ve probably ever had. Finally, the formal portion of the evening ended with speeches from the bride’s brother and the couple’s best friends.
