Woodmark Hotel is a stunning waterfront venue located right in Kirkland, Washington. You’ll spend the day surrounded by the elegance of the hotel and the beautiful views across Lake Washington. We started off with a few getting ready shots at the hotel room before heading out for the couple’s first look. After first looks, we began taking couple portraits near the waterfront and towards the dock. Even though it was a very hot day with harsh sunlight at the time, I love how the colors came together! Trang’s dress also looked extra beautiful as it sparkled against the sunlight. While the couple did not opt for a formal wedding party, we still took some fun family and group shots in front of the water.

The ceremony took place underneath the Olympic Terrace Tent. Guests were met with a view of Lake Washington and the Olympic Mountains from afar. Being underneath a tent also provided for some much needed shade from the hot sun this day. Overall, the ceremony details were a blend of simple, elegant, and modern. I especially loved how minimal the flowers were!

After the ceremony and signing marriage papers, we headed to the dock again for additional couple photos on a boat. The staff at Woodmark Hotel were so kind to provide the couple with a cute charcuterie board, wine glasses, and some champagne to celebrate the union. As Chris & Trang enjoyed the food, drinks, and being together, I took some photos of them just enjoying the moment as newlyweds. Unfortunately for us, the water happened to be pretty choppy this day. I literally thought I was going to drop my camera into the lake lol but we MADE IT!

After returning from the boat ride, the couple joined their friends and family for cocktail hour. Shortly after, we transitioned to dinner and dancing. A fun little touch for the dance floor was these light sticks provided for each of the guests! There was even a surprise ramen bar that came in later in the night.
