Stephanie & Drake’s engagement photo session at Volunteer Park in Seattle, Washington.
Volunteer Park is home to the Volunteer Park Conservatory and the Seattle Asian Art Museum. Located near the Eastlake neighborhood of Seattle, it is quite large which makes it ideal for taking photos. While you do need a license to be able to take photos inside the conservatory itself, it is free to take photos in front of and around the greenhouse. You can also choose to have your wedding ceremony inside the conservatory!
Stephanie told me that she wanted her photos to feel super candid, so that’s the vibe that we aimed for. We had so much fun walking through the vast expanse of the park and admiring all the different types of flowers and trees. This session took place in mid-April during cherry blossom season, so there was definitely a good amount of foliage. The second half of our session was spent taking photos right outside the Seattle Asian Art Museum. Stephanie and Drake are planning to use these photos for their invitation for their upcoming wedding in May, which I am so excited to capture!
